I also love ’80s New Wave rock, such as the Cure, Furs, The The, etc.; current alt stuff like the Eels, Death Cab for Cutie and Gabriella Cimli, and classics, ie. Elvis Costello, Patty Smith and REM. I even like some country (Patsy Cline and Martina McBride) and classical (Mozart rules!).

Aside from that, I love museums and art, from Monet to Frank Stella and Roy Lichtenstein, and independent films, as well as vintage classics…film noir ala &quot;Citizen Kane,&quot; for example. (With rare exception, I don′t care much for mainstream blockbusters…I even like subtitles.) My other interests include dancing (especially to ’80s New Wave rock and Latin), adventurous cuisine to burgers, reading, current events, animals (I love the zoo, as well as dog and cat shows), wine tastings, romance (I am a sucker for candlelit dinners and flowers), laughter and lively conversation. Oh, and I am liberal. Rush Limbaugh fans need not reply!

All my life I’ve felt like I was 10 years ahead of the people my age. I’m not sure why I’m even posting here for or what I’m hoping to gain. I mean I guess sometimes I take chances to see what will happen. It makes life more interesting.

Head into the streets for the parade and celebration starting at 1 PM

Warm up in a tea house with tea and sweet treats

Meander through the streets and stores (including the world famous chop stick shop)

Walk back toward the Manhattan Bridge and grab a little libation – it’s a long way home.
<br>
Get back on the bus and reminisce about our day all the way home…. Or nap – content!
